Projection mapping on moving surfaces
Its nice to see digital artists constantly trying to push barriers. In this video we see a constantly moving surface as opposed to the static surfaces we’re use to seeing. This is object tracking and its finest. This makes the transformation and manipulation of the physical world around us a bit more closer to reality. Looking forward to seeing more things like this in the future.
Budweiser Super Bowl Ad
This is an a wonderful but lengthy Budweiser ad made for this years Superbowl by the guys over at Anomaly. Well placed brand evolvement.
Cute campaign. Wimpy uses sesame seed to create brail messages on top of their probably delicious burgers.
Press Pause Play: A documentary About Art in the Digital Age
Water Projection Mapping
This is just plain rad. We’ve all seen projection mapping and quite frankly, its hard to get impressed these days. However Weiden and Kennedy NYC came up with an impressive twist for Nike’s Jordan Melo M8 release. Water projection mapping. Check it out.
The Future: From the Eyes Of Microsoft
Fun video on the what daily city life and interaction will be like in the future. Nothing really new to see here idea wise, but Microsoft hits the nail on the head while showing in a watchable high budget video. Simply put, the future is screens, screens and more screens, and the 6 min video shows just that. Lots and lots of screens.
The Sound Of Football
Stockholm’s Åkestam Holst in collaboration with production agency Society 46 developed this really innovative and practical idea for Pepsi. It allows visually impaired football players to rely on other senses other than sight while playing the game.
Cameras track the players on the field, sends this information to an iPhone attached to each player’s head where its then transmitted into 3d biaural sound. This allows the player to perceive distance between things on the field.
This is a great example of taking existing technologies, mashing them up and creating something not only novel but useful. Hope we see more great ideas like this in the future.

Virgin Picks Your Next Vacation Based On Weather
I was sitting at my computer yesterday checking flights around europe for a little weekend getaway. I had no particular place in mind and my budget would allow me to fly to most places out of the freezing Stockholm Airport. Where I really wanted to go was somewhere sunny and warm but of course their was no search filter for weather.
Then I saw Miami Ad Schools idea for Virgin Air weather based destinations. Virgin allows you to book flights not by place but by weather. It does all the research for you by checking the weather forecast up to the your departure date and finds you the most suitable destination within your budget.
Its a pretty cool Idea, but I can see how this wouldn’t be for all travelers. But if your feeling venturesome then you might want to give it a try.
Great video on the Berlin Techno Scene. Even if your not a big techno fan I’m sure you can find appreciation for the history and culture that drove it.
Just discovered BETC this morning while doing my morning rounds. BETC is a courageous and boundary tampering Creative Ad Agency based out of Paris. They just released this wonderfully entertaining video for CANAL+ based around the more than witty slogan “The more you watch Canal+, the more you love cinema.”
I encourage you to check out some of there other work as well. The originality and tabooed concepts caught me by surprise.
